Slipped Discs

Chiropractic Care & Physical Therapy for Herniated (slipped) Discs

Slipped discs, also known as bulged discs or herniated discs, occur when the integrity of the disc lining is compromised and inner disc material is able to push back towards the spinal nerve roots or in some cases into the spinal canal causing pain and pressure. They can occur at all levels of the spine, but are most common in the lumbar and cervical spine. Common causes of a slipped disc may include: lifting and sports injuries; poor posture, loss of core stability, being too sedentary, over training, previous injuries, inability to hip hinge, history of abdominal surgery, car wreck and child birth. If you are experiencing pain in your lower back or another part of your body, contact our Redmond or Issaquah locations to make an appointment with one of our chiropractors.
