Dr Greenwade is both professional and relatable, providing one of the best medical experiences I've had. The combined chiropractic + rehab/therapy approach seems very practical and was able to provide me with nearly immediate relief. Ben is clearly well-versed in the science of exercise and its easy to see he has firsthand experience with what he's teaching. Highly recommend

I worked with Maggie to help improve some deficiencies seen in my bloodwork, by changing my eating habits. I loved working with Maggie. She took the time to understand my existing behaviors and habits and developed a plan to make incremental improvements. We made one small adjustment at a time so I was not having to unsustainably change all my habits at once. She understood the things that were important to me (a sweet snack after dinner :)) and made suggestions as to how I could still keep that but in a healthier way. She was always super positive and encouraging.

I have been seeing Dr. Greenwade for years now and he has always been a huge help as I have dealt with various injuries, aches, and pains. He was able to provide care after both a fractured knee and a nasty sprained ankle and helped me bounce back much quicker than I would've been able to on my own! He always has great tips and pointers for exercises/stretches that will help strengthen muscles and accelerate recovery. Would highly recommend his treatment to anyone!

Dr. Anne Johnson is amazing! She goes the extra mile every single time, not just with her expert technique but with the way she genuinely cares. She found problem areas that other practitioners had completely missed and has been incredibly effective with her adjustments and manipulations. What sets her apart is her attention to detail and patience—she always listens carefully, keeps track of all my (many!) symptoms, and never rushes through anything. On top of that, she’s cheerful, positive, and brings such great energy to each visit. I love talking to her! I’m dealing with a complex issue, and Dr. Anne has offered thoughtful insights and advice that go well beyond her job. She's been an essential part of my healing journey and I can't recommend her enough!

If you have an injury or any kind of neck or back pain, do not go anywhere else beside Eastside Ideal Health! They did not only help fix my C5 & C6 herniated disc, but gave me key information and techniques on how to prevent future flair ups. The mobility physical therapy that targets the injury at hand made my recovery smooth and my pain relief instantaneous. They are experienced, educated and explain exactly what's going on in a way where you can easily understand it. I will not be going anywhere else, and I will not be recommending anyone but this team of experts! Give them a try and you will not be disappointed.

Reduce Inflammation, Support Healing, Prevent Recurrence

You don’t have to swing a golf club to suffer from Golfer’s Elbow. Also known as medial epicondylitis, this overuse injury affects the inner elbow and forearm—and it can impact everything from lifting weights to opening a jar. At Eastside Ideal Health, we provide targeted, conservative care to relieve pain, restore function, and prevent future flare-ups.

What Is Golfer’s Elbow?

Golfer’s Elbow is a condition where the tendons that attach to the inside of the elbow become inflamed or degenerated due to repetitive stress. It's common in golfers, but also in:

  • Weightlifters and CrossFit athletes
  • Construction and trade professionals
  • Office workers using poor wrist mechanics
  • Tennis or throwing athletes (when strain affects both sides of the elbow)

Symptoms of Medial Epicondylitis

  • Aching or burning on the inner elbow
  • Forearm tightness or weakness
  • Worsening pain with gripping, lifting, or wrist flexion
  • Stiffness and tenderness near the bony bump on the inside of your elbow

How We Evaluate Golfer’s Elbow

Our diagnostic process includes a detailed functional assessment, including:

  • Palpation and orthopedic testing of the medial elbow
  • Range of motion, strength, and grip evaluation
  • Postural and shoulder mechanics review
  • Ultrasound or imaging referral if symptoms persist or worsen

We aim to identify contributing factors throughout the kinetic chain, not just treat the elbow in isolation.

Chiropractic Treatment Options

Your treatment plan may include a combination of:

  • Joint adjustments of the wrist, elbow, and cervical spine to restore alignment
  • Soft tissue therapy, including myofascial release and trigger point work
  • Instrument-assisted techniques like Graston or IASTM to break down scar tissue
  • Laser therapy or heat modalities to reduce inflammation and promote healing
  • Corrective exercises for eccentric strengthening of the forearm flexors
  • Bracing and ergonomic education to reduce repetitive stress

Proven Conservative Care

"The majority of medial epicondylitis cases respond well to non-surgical treatment, including manual therapy and eccentric exercise programs."

When to Seek Advanced Imaging or Referral

We typically recommend referral if you experience:

  • Severe or worsening pain despite treatment
  • Loss of grip strength or signs of nerve involvement
  • Injury accompanied by swelling, bruising, or trauma

Most patients, however, recover fully without injections or surgery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the same as Tennis Elbow?
No. Golfer’s Elbow affects the inside of the elbow, while Tennis Elbow (lateral epicondylitis) affects the outside. The mechanism and treatment are similar, but the structures involved differ.
Can I still work or lift while receiving care?
In many cases, yes—with modification. We'll guide you on when to rest and how to scale your activity safely.
How long does recovery take?
Recovery varies, but most patients see improvement within 4–8 weeks with consistent treatment and exercise.
